I began building and performing with puppets when I was ten years old. At the time, it wasn't something I even contemplated framing decades of my life around or realized could be a job. When I was ten, my goal was to become the next Jim Davis (Garfield) or maybe an archeologist.
Now I build puppets, write shows, puppeteer, tour performances, provide puppetry manipulation/performance coaching to actors, and occasionally take on outside commissions. I direct the touring company Barefoot Puppet Theatre. My personal work for youth and family audiences currently focuses thematically on the environment and the exploration of different points of view.
